Tribe rings the Bulldogs’ bell in annual ‘Battle for the Bell’ 26-15

It was the first time the Milan Indians had collected the “Bell” in a game played at Batesville, since 1997. The Indians have captured and possessed the “Bell” in seasons between 1997 and 2017, but had not gained possession of it in games played at the “Dawg Pound” over that 20 year span.
The tribe’s number two season victory comes off a positive 52-27 onset over the visiting Rushville Lions at Milan Friday, Aug. 18, prompting Milan Head Coach Ryan Langferman and staff to make preparations to compete against the rival Bulldogs in the annual “Battle for the Bell” slated on Friday, Aug. 25.
Obviously the correct plan was followed as the Indians controlled the battle against the Bulldogs to lead 25 - 8 by mid third quarter and hold control to a final victory count to grasp the “Bell”with the Milan Indians 26~15 over the Batesville Bulldogs.
