Tamara Sue “Tammy” Webster Cline

Tamara Sue “Tammy” Webster Cline, age 47, of Deputy, entered into this life on July 19, 1969 in Lawrenceburg. She was the oldest of four children of Larry W. and Barbara “Jane” Kelly Webster. She was raised in Ripley County and was a 1989 graduate of South Ripley High School. Tammy died on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 4:15 p.m. at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky surrounded by her family.

Tammy spent her life in the service of others from an early age. She was like a second mother to her two sisters and little brother, even helping to prepare meals for them while she was still in elementary school. She worked a variety of jobs, and last worked with her friend, Chris Stewart, at the Child’s Corner in Madison, helping to teach the preschool children. Tammy enjoyed jobs the most that involved caring for others as she also worked in nursing homes, pre-schools, and residential group homes for special needs adults.

It was while working in one of these group homes that she met her husband, James D. Cline, who became the love of her life. They were married on November 14, 1998 at the Smyrna Monroe Presbyterian Church near Volga. This happy union was blessed with two wonderful children: Ethan James, born March 13, 2004 and Delaney Rose, born February 13, 2006. Tammy was a loving wife and devoted mother of two who lived for her children and her family. Tammy enjoyed reading and visiting with her friends and family, and was a true and faithful friend to those who were blessed with her friendship. But mostly, Tammy enjoyed being a wife and mom who always put others before herself. When one of her sisters or brother needed her she would drop everything and rush to assist them. Her loving kindness for others and helpfulness will leave a legacy.

Tammy will be missed by her loving husband of 19 years, James “Jim” D. Cline of Deputy; her loving son, Ethan James Cline of Deputy; her loving daughter, Delaney Rose Cline of Deputy; her stepson, Greg Cline of Muncie; her heartbroken mother, Barbara “Jane” Kelly Webster of Versailles; her loving sisters, Laura Meyer and her husband, Greg of Osgood, Jaime Whitham and her husband, Eric of Rexville; her loving brother, Larry “Budd” Webster, II and his wife, Brandy of Dillsboro; her grandmother, Sue Michael of Clarksville; her loving sisters in laws, Linda Lorentzen and her husband, Ross of Washburn, North Dakota and Carol Bell of Madison; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry W. Webster died, March 25, 2015; her grandparents, George Michael; Leon and Joy Kelly; Raymond and Emma Cathleen Hambrick Webster; her niece, Savannah Webster, died April 26, 2016; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles Cline and Catherine Barnett Cline Luckett.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 14 at 11 a.m., by Pastor Steve Pike at the Smyrna Monroe Presbyterian Church on Deputy Pike near Volga, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery near Volga. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison and Friday from 10 until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be made to her children’s college funds. Cards are available at the funeral home and the church. Online condolences, www.morgan-nay.com.
