2017 ORVC Fall Sports Athlete Awards presented

\As is the custom of the seven team Ohio River Valley Conference, a new school year of sports found the hosting torch passed to Madison Shawe for the 2017-18 awards program held at the Pines Restaurant in Madison. The 2017 ORVC Fall sports awards program held Wednesday evening, October 25th included recognition of Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys and Girls Cross Country, Girls Volleyball and Girls Golf.
(Although other sports may be offered in the fall lineup at some of the schools, ORVC requires a minimum of five of the seven to participate in the particular sport to become part of the awards presentation program.)
The seven schools of the ORVC include: South Ripley, Milan, Jac-Cen-Del, Rising Sun, Switzerland Co., Southwestern Hanover and Madison Shawe.
With all invitees present 84 student athletes were recognized and presented one or more awards at this year's 2017 ORVC Fall Sports Awards Banquet.

Of the 2017 ORVC Fall Sports award earning athletes, Switzerland County Lady Pacer Leah Anders continued in State Cross Country competition on Saturday, October 28.
