Harold Wayne May
Harold Wayne May, age 78, of Milan, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at St. Francis Health in Indianapolis. He was born on June 13, 1937 in Crittenden, Kentucky. His parents were the late Charles and Sadie Palmer Whalen May. Harold married Beatrice Ellen Haggard May on January 16, 1960, and she survives at home.
Harold worked for GE of Evendale, Ohio and retired in June of 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice May of Milan; daughters: Tina (Glen) Marie Hobbs of Shelbyville, Bonnie Lou (John) Earle of VA and Rebecca Sue (Jeff) Eaton of Napoleon; sisters: Patricia (Donald Gene) Hutchinson of Pendleton County, KY and Barbara Sue (Billy Joe) Straub of DeMossville, KY; brother: Duane “Douglas” ( Linda) of Williamstown, KY; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Denise Ann May; two sisters, Edith Laverne Zylstra and Helen May; also three brothers, Charles, Donald and William May.
Funeral services will be held all in one day, Wednesday, March 30, at Neal’s Funeral Home, Osgood. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. with funeral services immediately following. Burial will be in the Mud Pike Cemetery near Osgood. Memorials may be given to the Mud Pike Cemetery or Sunman Life Squad. Neal’s Funeral Home, Osgood, is entrusted with arrangements.

Diane Lynn (Propes) Earls
Mrs. Diane Lynn (Propes) Earls, age 58, of Versailles, entered this life on December 16, 1957, in New Albany, the loving daughter of, Dallas B. and Leonella (Tebbe) Propes. She was raised in Aurora, where she was a 1976 graduate of Aurora High School and was on the Honor Society for four years. Diane was united in marriage on September 25, 1976, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora to Norman D. Earls and to this union arrived a daughter, Amanda to bless their home. Diane and Norman shared nearly 40 loving years of marriage together until her death. She was a realtor and clerk for Realty Exchange in Versailles for 17 years.
Diane was a member and a Eucharistic Minister at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Osgood. Diane resided in the Versailles community since 1980. Diane enjoyed flowers, baseball, especially the Cincinnati Red’s and spending time with her grandsons, Bryce and Gage Asbury. Diane was a devoted wife, loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend.
Diane passed away with her loving family by her side at 3:15 pm, Saturday, March 26, 2016, at her residence in Versailles. Diane will be dearly missed by her loving husband of nearly 40 years: Norman D. Earls of Versailles; her daughter: Amanda Asbury and her husband: James of Independence, KY; her grandchildren: Bryce and Gage Asbury; her parents: Dallas B. and Leonella (Tebbe) Propes of Aurora; her sisters: Denise Vogel and her husband: Tom of Lawrenceburg, Betsy Gutzwiller and her husband: Denton of Holton, and Susan Propes of Lawrenceburg; her sisters-in-law: Sharon Earls of Salem, and Sherrie Wiesmann and her husband: Eugene of Mt. Sterling, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Norman William Earls, died December 3, 2006 and Mary Charlotte (Sullivan) Earls, died March 23, 2015 and her brother-in-law, David Lee “Butch” Earls, died June 12, 1999.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 29 at 1 p.m., by Sister Shirley Girth and Father Bill Turner, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043. Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay. Friends may call 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
