The 2016 IHSAA Girls Volleyball Class 1A Sectional #60 hosted by Hauser High School included a seven team venue, where action opened on Tuesday evening October 18 for a single match between the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles and the Southwestern Shelbyville Lady Spartans. The Lady Eagles earning of the 3-0 set/match victory by scores of 25-14, 25-8 and 25-13, advanced them to a Saturday morning October 22 , opening match at 11 a.m. against the tournament bye drawing South Decatur Lady Cougars.

Thursday, October 20, found site slated match battles between hosting Hauser Lady Jets against the Oldenburg Academy Lady Twisters, where Hauser grabbed a 3-0 set/match victory by scores of 25-11, 25-12 and 25-18. The second match on Thursday evening resulted in a Rising Sun Lady Shiner 3-1 set/match victory over the Waldron Lady Mohawks by set scores of 25-15, 22-25, 25-17 and 25-11. As Thursday night winners, Hauser and Rising Sun would face off in battle in the second scheduled match on Saturday morning October 22, with a slated start near the 12:30 p.m. mark.
Saturday morning October 22, Sectional action resulted in the Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles delivering another match victory, securing a spot in the championship game. The JCD Lady Eagle 3-1 set/match victory was acquired by scores of 25-15 21-25, 25-18 and 25-9. The second Saturday session match victory was secured by the hosting Hauser Lady Jets by scores of 25-14, 26-24 and 25-16 in back to back to back wins, earning them entrance into the championship game against the JCD Lady Eagles. Championship match action on Saturday evening, didn't resolve to the Lady Eagle hopes and aspirations as they fell in three consecutive sets by scores of 11-25, 18-25 and 12-25 to the hosting Hauser Lady Jets; however, a solid run to earn a spot in the championship match, allowed them to end the season with heads held high as the runner-up.
