David Ridenour


David Ridenour, 83, of Milan, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014, at Ripley Crossing in Milan. He was born Friday August 29, 1930, in Milan, the son of James Blaine and Pearl (Sanders) Ridenour. He married Carol (Ludeker) Ridenour on August 19, 1950 and she preceded him in death on December 12, 1993.

David (also known as Flapper Jaws) worked at Monsanto and was a farmer. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and Cemetery board, the Milan Lions Club and Milan Scholarship Foundation. David enjoyed farming, raising cows, bowling, watching the Reds games, IU basketball games, playing cards, and in his youth he played AAA Baseball. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.

David is survived by daughters Brenda Sharp and Cathy Ertel both of Milan, and Nancy (Richard Jr.) Ricke of Batesville; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and special friend Edna Pieper of Milan. He was preceded in death by wife Carol Ridenour, son-in-law Kenny Sharp, one brother Charles Bud Ridenour, and two sisters Hope McKittrick and Genevieve White.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 7, at St. Paul Lutheran Church Milan, with Pastor Susan Socha officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home Milan and from 10-11 a.m., Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Milan Scholarship Foundation or St. Paul Lutheran Sunday School. Loren Wesley Pindell


Loren Wesley Pindell, 85, of Sunman, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 5, at 10 a.m. at Neal’s Funeral Home, Osgood, with burial in the Greendale Cemetery, Osgood. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Hospital. Mark W. Moore

Mark W. Moore, 51, of Rushville, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 2, 2014. He was born January 10, 1963 in Rushville to John F. & Verlia (Proffitt) Moore

Mark was a 1981 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. Mark worked for the United States Postal Service in Indianapolis as a clerk from 1987 until his retirement in 2011. He was a member of the Rushville First Church of God.

He is survived by his parents, John and Verlia Moore of Rushville; daughter, Kristina Moore and companion Joey Fivecoat of Osgood; a brother, Jeff and wife Terry Moore of Needham; a grandson, DeShawn Fivecoat; and a grandson on the way, Donnovan Fivecoat. Mark was preceded in death by a sister, Shelia Schlechty.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Pastor Garry Jordan presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the mortuary from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday. Burial will be in Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery. Moster Mortuary, Rushville, is in charge of arrangements.

Samuel Glenn Eggleston, 59, of Versailles, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 5 at Humphrey-Taylor-Detmer Funeral Home in Rising Sun with burial in the Rising Sun Cemetery.
