Ripley County 4-H Fair at the fairgrounds
Big crowd attends Blue Grass Pulling Series

The Tuesday, July 25 slated activity for the annual Ripley County 4-H Fair evolved into a beautiful sunny day with temps in the upper 70s and a breeze. A total contrast to opening day on Sunday, July 23 where re-scheduling of horse and pony events were postponed to a, hopeful, Friday conclusion after only a few halter events were held. Fortunately, the slated Antique Tractor Pull on the track in front of the grandstands was able to be held indoors (in spite of the weather conditions at the fairgrounds) at Kev’s Field of Dreams indoor tractor pull facility just outside of Osgood. This kept the Ripley County Fair Sunday track-side events on schedule.
In an effort to try and stay on pace with fair activities, Tuesday slated action included the Blue Grass Pulling Series Tractor, Gas and Diesel Truck Pulls, which played to a massive crowd both in the grandstands and on pit-side as well. Only a small amount of the results have been reported at this time.
Winning the Diesel Truck Pull and reaping the big check was Doug Monroe in his Done Right Diesel Performance - Dodge. When asked about his victory, Monroe mentioned the positive aid of Ben Shadday and Done Right Diesel Performance. The results of the Tuesday night Ripley County 4-H Fair Blue Grass pulling series and Horse and Pony results will be in an upcoming issue.
