Sharon Rose (Meisberger) Eckstein


Sharon Rose (Meisberger) Eckstein, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017. She was born on July 26, 1943, to the late Edward and Marie (Ebel) Meisberger in Milan.

Sharon was a graduate of New Marion High School in Ripley County, class of 1961 and was retired from Eli Lilly.

Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, William E. Eckstein; children, Kevin Eckstein and Kim Morrow (Aaron); former daughter-in-law, Allison Eckstein; siblings, John Meisberger, Bob Meisberger and Nancy Meisberger Watson (Bob Kriz); and grandchildren, Jack, Elise and Griffin Eckstein and A.J. and Mia Morrow. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Doris Meisberger, Mary Ann Naugle, Janet Cooper and Marilyn Browning.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 4 at 12 noon in St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Rd., with visitation prior to the service in the church from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Entombment will follow Mass in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions have been suggested to Christ the King Catholic School, 5858 N. Crittenden Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46220. Virginia “Ginny” Lee Schwing

Virginia “Ginny” Lee Schwing, 86, of Palatka, Florida went home to be with her Lord at her home on Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was born on March 15, 1931 in Pierceville, Indiana to the late Lester and Mabel Plump. After graduating from Milan High School in Indiana, she married William G. Schwing on May 28, 1949 and they were happily married for 38 years.

Virginia loved to spend time with her family, read, work crossword puzzles, cook, and listen to country and gospel music. She was a member of Grace Community Church and had a unwavering faith in God.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William G. Schwing; siblings, Dorothea, Wallace, Lester Jr., Eloise and her son, Ronald Schwing (Denise). Virginia is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Diane) Schwing of Palatka, Fl., William (Judi) of Cumming, Ga., grandchildren, Chris (Danny) Schwing, K.W. Schwing, Missi (Shawn) Malone, Kenny (Christy) Schwing, Natalie (Jason) Brouwer, Adrienne, Colin Schwing; eight great grandchildren, Makenna Schwing, Madison Brown, Emili Malone, Madelynn Schwing, Haley Brouwer, Alexis Brouwer, Jon Brouwer, Maddisyn Schwing, and her brother, Bobby Plump.

Virginia enjoyed her children, grandchildren. great grandchildren and her church family. She touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation were held at Grace Community Church, Palatka, Fl. on Tuesday May 2, 2017. Interment was at Oakhill Cemetery East. Watts Funeral Home and Cremation Center in San Mateo is in care of the arrangements.


Roger Allen Chandler


Roger Allen Chandler, age 75, of Madison, died on Monday, May 1, 2017. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5 at 11 a.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison. Interment will follow in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road in Madison.

Friends may call Thursday from 3-8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wreaths Across America/Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Cards are available at the funeral home

Hazel A. Dwenger, 72, of Greensburg, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, May 4 at Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home, Moores Hill, with visitation from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be given to the P.A.W.S. of Dearborn County.
