Milan hosted the visiting Rising Sun Lady Shiners on Thursday evening, September 28 for a final ORVC Girls Soccer season challenge, where an outright or a three team shared Championship Title, rested on the game's outcome. Hard fought action during first half play with a mere 20+ seconds remaining on the game clock, the Lady Shiners nailed a goal.

Unable to knot the contest during second half action, the Lady Shiners were allowed to add another score after the controversial penalty kick was given to them, resulting in a final tally of RS 2-0 Milan. Despite the single game's outcome, Coach Todd Gobel and his Milan team have much to find pride in as just four years into their program, the tribe has availed themselves a true contender among the five ORVC team platform. With the 0-2 loss, the Milan Lady Indians, Rising Sun Lady Shiners and Southwestern Hanover Lady Rebels ended in a 3-way shared title.
