Dillsboro teams are Southern Indiana Girls Babe Ruth Softball Tournament State Champs
The Dillsboro 12U Girls All-Star Babe Ruth Softball Team went undefeated 4-0 in the Southern Indiana State Championship games in Henryville on back to back weekends. On opening weekend, June 18 and 19, the Dillsboro team went undefeated with an initial game victory over Corydon at 12-1, followed by a 7-1 routing of hosting Henryville. Dillsboro’s return for the June 25 and 26 weekend action found them ranked the #1 seed.

They went to work on hosting Henryville to a 6-3 victory, and took on the host yet again to a resounding 12-1 victory for the Championship title and advancement to Ohio Valley Regional action in Fairfield, Ohio, July 13-17. Noted highlights of the action included: home runs by Maddie Lewis and Kristen Roark; Kyra Labazzo’s pitching 12 KOs in five innings during the first game vs Henryville.

The Dillsboro 8U All Star Team is the Southern Indiana State Champions. To earn the title, they played in the Babe Ruth Softball Southern Indiana State Invitational Tournament in Henryville on back-to-back weekends with June 18 and 19 pool play. Despite a couple of close encounters, they went undefeated in five games: Campbellsburg 13-3, Lanesville 5-4, Corydon 9-8, Henryville 21-0, and Salem 13-5.
