Work goes on late into the night to prepare fairgrounds for rodeo

Following a Tuesday afternoon rain out of slated Ripley County 4-H Fair events including the competitive 4-H Horse and Pony Arena event and the anticipated Bluegrass Pulling Series Tractor Pull at the grandstands, late night work got underway to set up for the Wednesday evening scheduled Fox Hollow Rodeo.

Kevin Menchhofer’s precision placement of needed supplies along the perimeter of the rodeo framework, which helps cut down on setup time and lessens the chance of injury to rodeo setup staff.
Burning the midnight oil at the controls of the KUBOTA is Kevin Menchhofer of Kev’s Field of Dreams, along with Fox Hollow set up crew. Menchhofer hosted a two day tractor pull event over the weekend with Saturday pulls inside at his place and Sunday’s Pulls on the track in front of the grandstands at the Ripley Co. Fairgrounds in Osgood, as part of the opening day’s competition entertainment at the fair.
