Judith Marie Holtmeier, joyously reunited in heaven with her beloved dad on May 21, 2016, at age 66, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by companion and best friend Steve Barnett, devoted daughter of Mary and the late Don Holtmeier, loving mother of Dante Carfagna and Damon (Gina) Carfagna and proud grandmother of Caden and Ellis Carfagna; dear friend of Kayce Barnett and of Ben and Jana (Barnett) Beal and their children Charlie, Georgie, and Nathaniel; fun-loving sister and sister-in-law of Cathy (Larry) Thamann, Steve (Maggie), Ann (Ryan) Detmer, Andy (Karen), Beth (Barney) Adams, Tom (Julie), Jenny (Bill) McCullough, Chris (Connie), and Paul (Lynn). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, countless friends, and her canine companions Boo and Lola.
Judy has donated her body to the University of Cincinnati Medical School. A memorial mass will be held at All Saints Church, 8939 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, on Friday, May 27, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a celebration of her life at the Village at Heritage Green Clubhouse in Loveland. Judy’s family will forever be grateful for the compassionate care she received at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash. Glen W. Smith, age 50, of Batesville, died Saturday, May 21, 2016. Visitation was Wednesday, May 25, at the Weigel Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 26, at St. Mary’s of the Rock Church.
