IHSAA Class 1A Semi-State Champion Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles are surrounded by loyal fans when they return home after game!
The #2 ranked Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles faced the #1 ranked Vincennes Rivet Lady Patriots in the IHSAA Class 1A Girls Basketball Semi-State at Jeffersonville High School at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20. The Lady Eagles secured the hard fought victory by a final score of 46-43. The JCD Lady Eagles and Vincennes Rivet Lady Patriots shared the #1 and #2 spot ranking over the season, with the Lady Eagles proving they were deserving of such a ranking. The evenly matched foes met on the hardwood where the deserving Lady Eagles earned the nod. The Osgood Fire Department led the traditional victory parade back into town. The gigantic parade of supportive fans stretched from Napoleon to Osgood. This was indeed a “Lady Eagles Country” Saturday night. Game details and photos will follow on the sports page in the February 25 issue of The Versailles Republican.
Single session tickets are $15 for state finals for assigned seats. “The JCD allotted tickets will be dispersed to player’s families, coaches’ families, school staff, and then to the public,” stated JCD Athletic Director Mark Meyer
State Finals Tickets
Tickets go on sale at Jac-Cen-Del Tuesday 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. for players immediate family members and grandparents only, and from 3 – 8 p.m. for all-sports pass holders only; Wednesday 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. for all-sports pass holders only, and 2 – 8 p.m. for the public; and Thursday 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. for the public. The Semi-State Champion shirts will also be available for purchase from JCDHS, as long as supplies last. The 26-1 Lady Eagles will face the 24-3 Argos Lady Dragons at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27. Gates open at 9:30 a.m.
