South Ripley Lady Raiders, Milan Lady Indians seasons come to close at North Decatur

The 2016 IHSAA Class 2A Girls Basketball Sectional #45 draw pitted the Milan Lady Indians in opening tournament action against the South Ripley Lady Raiders. South Ripley secured the 56-35 win, advancing to face the Austin Lady Eagles where SR fell 35-46, with Austin going on to claim the Championship Title.

In other action, the Switzerland County Lady Pacers defeated the Sw Hanover Lady Jets 45-26 to earn advancement, but fell 44-45 after an overtime period to the hosting North Decatur Lady Chargers. In the championship game, the Austin Lady Eagles secured the title and opportunity to advance to Regional action with their 51-34 advantage.
