Ruth Ann Ralston

Ruth Ann Ralston, 74, of Indianapolis, entered this life on June 29, 1940, in Madison. She was the loving daughter of the late Lawrence Hugh and Josephine Talbot Hankins.

Ruth Ann’s children expressed that their mother was a very nonjudgmental and loving person, who always put her children, grandchildren and other people before herself. She loved to visit with her family and friends, cook and garden. She grew up in Canaan, graduated from Central High School and lived in Greensburg, Versailles, Cross Plains, Lawrenceburg and most recently in Indianapolis. Ruth Ann continued to be a very proud woman who always took care of her appearance and as her children stated, she always made sure she had her lipstick on!

On Monday, May 25, 2015, with family by her side, she passed away at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She will be so sadly missed by her children, grandchildren and friends. She is survived by daughters, Vicki (Carl) Stewart, Dana (Steve) Conway, and sons Todd Ralston, Jock (Amy) Ralston; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held all in one day, Saturday, May 30 at Neal’s Funeral Home, Osgood, with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services immediately following. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery Cross Plains. Memorials may be given to Lawrenceburg Mental Health. Neal’s Funeral Home, Osgood, is in charge of arrangements.


Charlene Marie Baylor Powell

Charlene Marie Baylor Powell, 74, of Moores Hill, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 in Lawrenceburg. She was born Tuesday, May 13, 1941 in Milan, the daughter of the late Charles Baylor and the late Marie McKittrick Baylor.

Charlene worked as a vault teller for Peoples Federal Savings Bank, retiring after many years of service. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Aurora and Tri Kappa Sorority. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, working in her flower garden, hummingbirds and designing floral arrangements. She loved to spend time with her family especially time with her granddaughters.

Surviving are her loving husband of 49 years, Jerald “Jerry Powell of Moores Hill; sons, Jerald “Jerry” (Bridgett) Powell of Aurora, Christopher “Chris” (Heather) Powell of Aurora; siblings, Kay Bean, Jack (Cathy) Baylor, Lennie (Rusty) Lynd, Charles (Vickie) Baylor and Cindy McKittrick of Milan; granddaughters, Allie, Rileigh, Kayla and Sienna.

Visitation will be Friday, May 29 from 4-8 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Aurora, with funeral services at the church on Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora. Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Aurora or Aurora Rescue Unit. Please call the funeral home office at 812-926-1450 and the family will be notified of your donation with a card. Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, is in charge of arrangements.


Edis E. Dilk

Edis E. Dilk, 93, of Greenwood, passed away May 22, 2015. He was born May 2, 1922 in Ripley County to the late Charles O. and Nellie (Anderson) Dilk.

Survivors include his children, Stephen (Kathy) Dilk, Timothy (Linda) Dilk, Daniel Dilk, David (Jill) Dilk and Philip “Skip” (Ginny) Dilk; grandchildren, Jason, Travis, Allie Tatman, Katie, Steven, Rachel, Emily, Lauren, and Amy Dilk; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Dilk in 2011 and his brothers, James and Roscoe Dilk.

Edis was a graduate of Purdue University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in WWII on the U.S. Iowa and later retired as an engineer from the State of Indiana after 35 years.

A service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 30, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main St., Greenwood. Friends may visit from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Edis will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery. Lisa Arlene Langdon Terry

Lisa Arlene Langdon Terry, 57, of Madison, formerly of Versailles, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 26, at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison. Memorials may be given to the Lisa Terry Memorial Fund, contribution cards are available at the funeral home. Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison, was in charge of arrangements.
