Adeline A. Lewis
Adeline A. Lewis, 95, of Milan, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Margaret Mary Health at Batesville. Adeline was born Sunday, September 14, 1919, in Milan, the daughter of John and Pearl (Blackmore) Puente. She married John A Lewis November 1, 1938, and he preceded her in death October 30, 2008.
She was a former employee of McGregor Sporting Goods in Cincinnati for several years and was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church.
Adeline is survived by son James (Myrna) Lewis of Anderson, Indiana and daughter Doris Ann (Douglas) Bauer of Cincinnati, 11 grandchildren, several great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother Eddie Puente and sisters Luella Schwipps, Catherine Eichlor, and Hazel Steinford.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday April 3, at St. Charles Catholic Church, 201 W. Ripley St., Milan with Father Frank Eckstein officiating. Burial will follow in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9-10:45 a.m., Friday at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan.
