One of the many racers to grace the Ripley County 4-H Fair for many years is Miranda Wall. She races her very hot quad, melting the toughest heart, while pickin’ it up and puttin’ it down the track over male and female competitors alike.
At age 22, she is en route to graduation from college, serving an internship and finding less and less time to race her quad.

Miranda Wall as she pulls off yet another victory.
Lifetime changes slip up on all of us and for her it is no different. After racing for 12 consecutive years, (beginning at the tender age of 10 on the quad) the 2014 Ripley County Fair has been her only stop where, of course, she was victorious.

As with all else in this big old (sometimes) ugly world, “fuel for the quad now rings up at the register near the $50 per gallon mark,” her father tells me; however as one chapter closes, new roots take form and challenges are met from the same positive perspective.
