Douglass A. Graham
Douglass A. Graham, 49, of Batesville, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014 at his home. The son of Gerald and Johanne (Gartemann) Graham was born on June 9, 1964, in Spain.
He was a 1982 graduate of Milan High School and graduated from Northern Kentucky University. He worked for Cummins Inc. as a supervisor and married Brenda Kirschner on June 9, 1996.
He served his country in the US Army and was a member of the Milan American Legion Post 235 and the Knights of Columbus. He loved his church, St. Pius, and was on the counsel. He was also part owner of the former, Cheers in Batesville.
Doug loved giving back. He volunteered for the Batesville Fire Dept. and the EMT. He loved his country and was very patriotic. He honored soldiers through his membership in the Indiana Patriot Guard. He helped raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation by setting up a poker run through Cummins. He loved Nascar and going to races with his buddies.
Doug loved riding his Harley, shooting guns with his family and friends and enjoyed working on his ‘61 Apache truck with his Cummins friends. He also loved spending time in Gatlinburg with his family and going to Purdue to visit his daughter. Doug knew no stranger, always had a smile on his face and was always willing to help someone out. He was a loving husband and father. He loved his job and the people he worked with and was a jokester.
Doug is survived by his wife Brenda Graham and his daughter Koralyssa Graham. He will also be missed by his sisters Debbie (Scott) Busching of Hebron, KY and Michelle Graham of Arlington, Va.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 14 from 4-8 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. at St. Pius Church in Sunman with Father Frank Eckstein officiating. Burial will follow at St. Pius Cemetery with military graveside rites.

Louise Morris Adams
Louise Morris Adams, 78, of Canaan, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison, with burial following in the Hebron Cemetery near Madison. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Sharon R. Cutter
Sharon R. Cutter, nee Stevens, 63, of Aurora, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 9, 2014 at Dearborn County Hospital. Sharon was born on February 20, 1950, in Batesville to Earl K. Stevens and Ida Mae Leasure Stevens.
Sharon graduated from Dillsboro High School in the Class of 1968 and graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in Cincinnati. She was a nurse for 43 years, and spent 27 of those years at Ross Manor in Dillsboro as a compassionate, dedicated nurse. She always worked the midnight shift so she could be home to attend her sons’ activities in school and sports. Sharon was the consummate housekeeper at her home; she kept her home immaculate. She loved to iron, no one left the house with any wrinkles in their clothing! Sharon loved to cook, and she was an excellent cook! Her family and her nursing career were what defined Sharon.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Mae Leasure Stevens, and by her step-mother, Cora Mae Stevens. Sharon was baptized into, married in and a member of the Dillsboro United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her father, Earl K. Stevens; her husband, Robert Cutter, to whom she was married on September 18, 1971; her two sons, Jason (Jennifer) Cutter of Loveland, Ohio, and Jared (Tonya) Cutter of Cincinnati, Ohio; one granddaughter, Emma Mae Cutter; sister, Debbie (Rick) Graver of Enon, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, to include Kyle Graver.
Funeral services for Sharon were Thursday, Feb. 13 at 11 a.m. at Dillsboro United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Harzula officiating. She will be laid to rest at Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro.
The family prefers memorial contributions to go to a nursing fund for her son Jared’s nursing school, to a college fund set up for her granddaughter Emma Mae, or to the Aurora Life Squad. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. DeVries Funeral Home, Dillsboro, is in charge of arrangements.
Fred Richard George
Fred Richard George, 59, of Hanover, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in Madison, with burial following in the Grandview Memorial Gardens near Madison. Eugene R. Bauman
Eugene R. Bauman, 78, of Zephyrhills, Fla., passed away Friday, February 7, 2014, at Gulf Side Hospice also in Zephyrhills. He and his wife Helen also have a home in Osgood. He was born January 15, 1936 in Versailles, the son of Raymond and Anna Schwagmeier Bauman. He married Helen V. Miller on December 29, 1956.
Eugene had worked for Pitney Bowes of Lafayette, Indiana as a service representative from 1959 to 1991. He and his wife Helen belonged to the Good Sam’s Camping Club which involved camping with other members in various places throughout the United States. He was an avid and skillful woodcarver having taught the art and also belonged to the Waters Edge Woodcarvers Club in Zephyrhills, Fla. Another past hobby he enjoyed was being a Ham Radio Operator and with this, had belonged to the Lafayette and Indianapolis, Indiana Clubs. Working on the family farm in Versailles was also an important part of his life. He dearly loved his family and will be so sadly missed by all.
Survivors include wife, Helen V. Miller Bauman of Zephyrhills, Fla.; sons: Douglas (Jeanette) Bauman of Laurens, S.C.; Dwight (Traci) Bauman of Versailles; Daniel (Susan) Bauman of Valparaiso; grandchildren: Matthew, Sarah, Joshua, and Tyler Bauman; and great-grandchild, Adalyn Prather.
Funeral services will be held all in one day, Saturday, February 15, at Neal’s Funeral Home, Osgood, with visitation from 12-2 p.m. and funeral services immediately following. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery, Versailles. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Cliff Hill Cemetery or Gulf Side Hospice c/o the funeral home.

Grace E. Franklin
Grace E. Franklin, 83, of Milan, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014, at Ripley Crossing in Milan. Grace was born Saturday, July 12, 1930 in Hindman, Ky., the daughter of John and Susie (Cornett) Terry. She was a homemaker and a member of Milan Wesleyan Church. She married Cordis Franklin on December 22, 1949 and he preceded her in death July 6, 2009.
Grace is survived by sons: Michael (Linda) Franklin of Dillsboro; Gary (Debbie) Franklin of Aurora; five granchildren: Emily, Cory (Rebecca), Christopher Franklin, Danielle (James) Saylor, and Michelle (Eric) McKittrick; two great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest Terry of Belleville, Michigan; sisters, Evaleen Combs of Hindman, Ky. and Nadine Cornett of Columbus, Ohio. Grace was preceded in death by her husband Cordis Franklin, two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 14, at 10 a.m. at Milan Wesleyan Church with Pastor LaMar Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Craven Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 13, 5-8 p.m. at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan.
