Lucille Redwine
Lucille Redwine (Gevedon) of Paragon, IN, 79, died peacefully at home on January 18, 2014. She was born March 29, 1934 in Breathitt Co., KY. She lived most of her adult life in Dillsboro until she moved to Martinsville in 2012. She married Roy B. Redwine in 1954 in Friendship.
Her husband, Roy, daughter Janna Lampis and husband Johnny, and granddaughter, Abigail Redwine preceded her in death.
Survivors include son, Gordon Redwine (Annette) and their son Tanner; Lisa P. Surber (Timothy) and their children, Joel (Autumn), Aaron, Patton (Jennifer), Thomas (Regina), and Katelynn; and son Charles Redwine (Terri) and their children, Ashley Landwehr (Eric), Logan, Sam, Nick and Gus; five great grandchildren, three sisters, one sister-in-law and many loving nieces and nephews.
Lucille was a strong Christian woman who loved the Lord and spending time learning His Word. She also was a true patriotic American. One of her greatest joys was to be surrounded by family and friends. She had a passion for cooking, gardening and small business ventures she ran from her home.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be held at Bear Creek Baptist Church in Friendship at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Bear Creek Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory, Indianapolis.
Clifford F. “Cliff” Hiltenbeitel
Clifford F. “Cliff” Hiltenbeitel, 93 of Sunman, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014.
Cliff was the beloved husband of the late Rosemary (Walters) Hiltenbeitel and loving father of Clifford “Skip” (late Jane) Hiltenbeitel, John (Lillie) Hiltenbeitel and Tina (Harry) Weber. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
Cliff was retired from the Hamilton County Maintenance Dept.
Services were held Monday, Jan. 20 at the Sunman Community Church in Sunman. Memorials may be made to Sunman Community Church or the Ripley County 4-H Poultry or Dairy. Minges Funeral Home in Harrison, Ohio was in charge of arrangements. www.neidhardminges.com.
Dennis Lee Whitham
Dennis Lee Whitham, 65, of Vevay, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 24 at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay with burial in the Vevay Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 23 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Switzerland Baptist Church or the Switzerland County Life Squad, contribution cards are available at the funeral home. Alice Mae Berry
Alice Mae Berry died on January 11, 2014, at her daughter’s home in Bonita Springs, Florida after a long illness. She was born on January 15, 1945 in Rexville, the daughter of Ethel Marie (Farrell) Hoffmeier and John Wesley Hoffmeier. She married David Irvin Berry on September 3, 1960 and they had four children.
Alice is survived by daughter, Charlotte Renee (Paul) Steuver of Bonita Springs, FL, David Dewayne (Wanda) Berry of Titusville, FL, Deborah Michelle Holman of New Marion, and Michael Todd Berry of Osgood. She had 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and sisters, Jane (Phillip) Leach of Holton and Gladys Hoffmeier of Madison.
Alice attended school in New Marion. She spend much of her life caring for her four children and worked for the U.S. Shoe Corporation where she retired after 17 years. Alice was a vital part of the family, and was a loving and caring matriarch with a very strong faith. She attended Hopewell Baptist Church in Dillsboro and First Baptist Church in Bonita Springs, FL.

Donna Louise Crum
Donna Louise Crum, 99 of Osgood, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at her home in Osgood. She was born August 28, 1914 in Osgood, the daughter of Jason Clyde and Mayme Herman Hackman. Donna first was married to Roland Jackson who preceded her in death. She then married Lawrence Clifford Crum on November 7, 1974 and he also preceded her in death on July 20, 2011.
Donna was a member of the Osgood United Methodist Church, Osgood Versailles Eastern Star over 75-year member and was a past four-year clerk-treasurer of Osgood from 1975-1979.
Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Two brothers preceded her in death: Walter and Wm. Gerald Hackman.
Funeral services will be held all in one day, Saturday, Jan. 25 at Neal’s Funeral Home, Osgood, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with funeral services immediately following. Wendell Raymond Geurkink, 75, of North Vernon, passed away on January 4, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Christian International Family Worship Center, Versailles. Visitation will br from 12 p.m. until service time at the Worship Center. Burial will be in the Indiana Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Madison.
