Ronald Eugene Hunter
Ronald Eugene Hunter, 65, a life-long Franklin County resident, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 in Indianapolis. He was born June 24, 1948 in Rushville to Gene and Gay Aileen (Clark) Hunter.
He was a 1966 graduate of Clarksburg High School and joined the US Army shortly after graduation. He married Rebecca Jacobs on October 10, 1970 and she survives.
Ron worked in the maintenance department for Decatur County Hospital nearly 17 years. He was a member of the Plum Grove Pentecostal Church of God and loved to read and spread the gospel as an evangelist.
In addition to his wife Rebecca of Laurel, he is survived by two daughters, Tanya (Jeff) Horn of Osgood, and Donna (William) Ratliff of Buena Vista; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 26 at the Buena Vista Christian Church where friends are welcome to visit from 11:30 a.m. until time of service. Paul Shoemaker will preside and burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Buena Vista Christian Church or the Plum Grove Pentecostal Church of God.
