Betty Evelyn Hudson
Betty Evelyn Hudson, 88, of Seymour, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 7:30 a.m. at the Lutheran Community Home in Seymour. Betty was born on December 29, 1924 in Seymour, the daughter of Walter S. and Maude Weasner Findley.
She married Edward L. Hudson in Seymour on May 2, 1942. She was a homemaker and also worked at Arvin Industries, National Veneer, Jacobson Shirt Factory, the Lutheran Community Home and Seymour Manufacturing, retiring in 1987.
Mrs. Hudson was a Charter member of Peter's Switch Church of the Nazarene, where she served as church treasurer for 19 years. She also taught Sunday school, was a board member, missionary society member and sang in the church choir. Betty also served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and March of Dimes. She loved gardening, mowing the lawn, sewing, housework, reading and Bible study.
Betty is survived by her husband, five children; Linda Lou (Harry) Henderson, of Osgood, Steven Scott (Linda) Hudson, of Wabash, Larry E. (Sharon) Hudson, of Seymour, Beverly K. Osborne, of Seymour and Rebekah S. (Raymond) Bohm, of Indianapolis, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, two sisters; Gladys Lucas and Marjorie Sentz and a brother, Bill (Rosemary) Findley.
Her parents, two sons-in-law; Charles Mulford and Rodney Osborne, four sisters; Ethel Maxine Findley, Opal Beineke, Rosemary Mellencamp and Wanda Sue Murphy, three brothers; Lawrence, Eugene and Robert Findley preceded Mrs. Hudson in death.
The Rev. Keith Ross will conduct funeral services on Friday, September 6, at 10:30 a.m. at Peter's Switch Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be Thursday, September 5, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Her burial will follow the funeral on Friday at Riverview Cemetery.

Jean Stiles, 80 of Moores Hill, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013.
