Paul Wesley Krinop

Paul Wesley Krinop, 68 of Osgood, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012 at his home. He was born January 29, 1944, the son of Harold Henry and Helen Ruth Brooks Krinop, both preceded him in death.

Paul was an Army Veteran, member of the Osgood United Methodist Church and had worked as a Lighting Engineer for Valeo Sylvania of Seymour. In the more recent years, he and his wife, Linda, of 43 years, had owned and operated the Victorian Garden Bed & Breakfast of Osgood.

Survivors include his wife: Linda Lacey Krinop; daughter: Tracy & husband Marcus Cleveland; grandson: Xavier Gunner Simpson; brothers: Jerry & Chuck Krinop; and sister: Peggy Oliver.

Calling will be held at Neal's Funeral Hme, Osgood, on Saturday, October 27, from 10 a.m. until the memorial service celebration at 11:00 a.m.

David William Eads, 47 of Milan, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012. Services are pending at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan.

Johnny Mack Trent

Johnny Mack Trent, 68, of New Point, passed away, Mon., Oct. 15, 2012. Visitation will be held today, Thursday, Oct. 18 from 4-8 p.m. at the New Point Christian Church. Funeral services will be held Fri., Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. also at the church. Burial will be in the Rossburg Cemetery.

Rev. Virgil "Leo" Kinnett

Rev. Virgil "Leo" Kinnett, formerly of Osgood, was born in Connersville, on January 22, 1934, to the late William Virgil Abrum Kinnett and Opal Kinnett nee Hart. Leo went to be with the Lord and those preceding him on Monday, September 24, 2012, at the Halifax Heatlh Medical Center of Daytona Beach, Fl., at the age of 78 years, 8 months, and three days.

June 20, 1952, Rev. Kinnett enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served during the Korean Conflict then was honorably discharged February 9, 1954. He was later united in marriage to his loving wife, Lorena Kinnett nee Hawkins on April 14, 1956, in Osgood and spent the next 56 years, five months, and 11 days together. During their ministry, the Kinnett family served as missionaries to the Comanche Indians on the North American Indian District at Cache, OK., in the late 60s and early 70s.

Throughout the 44 years of ministry as an ordained elder for the Church of the Nazarene he pastored eight churches. He and his family relocated to this area in 1985 until his retirement.

After retirement, he received his evangelist's license in 2008. During the next chapter of his life, he founded Coastal Cremation Service and Shipping, Inc. of Palm Coast, Fl., and operated it until his death.

Leo, as he was known to many of the families he served in and around the Palm Coast area, cared for over 2,000 families throughout approximately 20 years.

He was loved by his family, respected by his peers, and was a blessing to many families in their time of need. He was an inspiration to those he ministered and to the many other death care professionals. He had a reputation in the funeral service community for honesty, compassion, empathy, and his generosity.

Other than his parents, Rev. Kinnett was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Rev. Kinnett is survived by his wife Lorena Kinnett of Port Orange, Fl.; five sons, Jack Kinnett and wife Tammy of Orlando; Pastor Terry Kinnett and wife Sherry of Port Orange; Larry Kinnett and wife Twila of Nashville; Randy Kinnett and wife Hana of Port Orange; Tim Kinnett and wife Nichole of Port Orange; one daughter, Twyla Daw Spurgeon and husband Pete of Orlando; two sisters, Emma Jean Tickle of Greensburg; and Linda Lou Ritchie of Osgood.

Leo's legacy also included 21 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great grandchildren that will soon be born.

Rev. Kinnett's going home celebration was held Fri., Oct. 5 at the Deland Church of the Nazarene. A private internment service will take place in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell at a later date.

Mary Ella Stark

Mary Ella Stark, 95, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012. Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 11 at Hopeful Lutheran Church in Florence, Kentucky. Burial followed in the Hopeful Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Sunman Life Squad. Cook Funeral Home, Sunman assisted the family with arrangements.

Ann Wiley

Ann Wiley, 65, of Westport, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Heritage House Nursing Home. She was born Oct. 2. 1947 in Milan, the daughter of Garrett DeWayne and Margaret Elizabeth (Hamilton) Wiley.

She lived most of her life in the Milan and Westport communities. She graduated from Sandcreek High School in 1966. She retired in 2009 from the US Postal Service at Columbus, after 40 years of service.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star #183 at North Vernon, attended the Westport Christian Church and enjoyed reading and traveling.

Survivors include her sister, Donna (George) Cann of Westport; nieces, Jill (Don) Sageser of Hartsville and Beth (Art) Pigmon of St. Paul; great niece, Cassandra Weaver of Hartsville; great nephews, Michael (Lois) Cann of Westport and Jim Pigmon of St. Paul; great great nephew, Oceano Cann of Westport. great great niece, Leighla Cann of Westport; aunt, Doris Bonfer of Milan and great aunt, Mary Cox of Greensburg.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Sat., Oct. 13 at Bass & Gasper Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Westport Cemetery. Visitation will be Fri., Oct. 12, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Hansen Center.

Mary Lou Brandes

Mary Lou Brandes, 50, of Batesville, died Monday, October 1, 2012 at Margaret Mary Hospital. She was born May 5, 1962 in Batesville, the daughter of Iris Vail and Charles Corson. She married Tim Brandes on December 22, 2007 in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Mary Lou liked having her family and friends around and was always willing to help and do for others. She also loved dearly her three "kids" dogs Charlie, Lucy and Zoe. An artistic individual, she raised flower and herb gardens and enjoyed making flower arrangements with them. Other interests were antiquing, camping and traveling. A trip to San Francisco last year and their yearly visit to Hilton Head, South Carolina in the early fall were among her favorites. Mary Lou was particular about her dress, which was always chic and fashionable. It was a style she was comfortable in, having modeled in New York and Philadelphia for several years.

Mrs. Brandes is survived by her husband Tim; sister Jackie Schaefer and mother and father-in-law Bobbie and Rodney Brandes, all of Batesville. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation is Thursday, Oct. 4, from 4-7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home. A prayer service will be conducted at 6 p.m., Thurs., by the Batesville Order of Eastern Star #348. Funeral services will be held Friday, 10 a.m. Oct. 5 at the funeral home with Rev. Charles Flory officiating. Burial will follow in the Batesville United Methodist Cemetery.

Bennie Truman Chandler

Bennie Truman Chandler, 80, of Canaan, passed away Monday, October 1, 2012. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 5 at 1 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison with burial in the Pleasant Cemetery in Pleasant. Visitation will be Thursday from 3-8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Pleasant Cemetery Association or Hospice of Jennings County. Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, Madison, is entrusted with arrangements.

William B. Disney

William B. Disney, 85, of Sunman, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at his home. Visitation for friends and family will be Saturday, October 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral service at 1 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, Sunman, who is entrusted with arrangements.

Florence Marie Miller

Florence Marie Miller, 86, of Holton, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012 at her home. She was born Dec. 22, 1925, the daughter of Leo John and Eva Mary Koechlin Miller.

She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church of Osgood. She had worked approximately 30 years for Naval Avionics of Indianapolis. She had served as past president of the Deanery & Parish Council of Catholic Women; was founder of the Ripley County Red Hatters; past president of the Ripley County Homemakers Association; past member of the Do-A-Lot Home Economic Club of Ripley County.

One of her favorite past times was quilting and she had made many quilts for her family and friends.

Survivors include brothers Roy Miller of Holton and Ralph and wife Joyce Miller of Osgood; sisters, Leola Ebinger of Holton, Mary Thola of Osgood; six nieces and six nephews.

Visitation will be Fri., Oct. 5 at Neal's Funeral Home, Osgood, 5-8 p.m. A rosary service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Sat., Oct. 6, at St. John's Catholic Church, 3 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery near Osgood.

Memorials can be made to St. John's Church or the American Cancer Society.
