Reca Marie (Fischer) Arnoldy

Reca Marie (Fischer) Arnoldy, 85, of Lawreceburg, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at Dearborn County Hospital.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Fischer of Aurora; four sons, Robert Fischer of St. Leon, Dale Fischer of Dillsboro, Terry Arnoldy of Greendale and Richard Arnoldy of East Enterprise; 12 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marcia Walston.
A private graveside service for the family will be held at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Farmers Retreat. Arrangements have been entrusted to Filter-DeVries Funeral Home in Dillsboro.

Jeanette Onel Bayne

Jeannette Onel Bayne, age 85, of Osgood, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012 at Manderley Health Care Center of Osgood. She was born April 25, 1926 at Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Garnet J. and Mae Hamm Bolt. She married Paul Ubele Bayne, on August 14, 1946 and he preceded her in death on June 26, 2002.
Survivors include son, Ricky (Pam) Bayne of Middletown, OH; daughter, Phyllis Buchanan of Fairfield, OH; sister, Janice McKenney of Shelbyville, TN; grandchildren, Brian and Mark Buchanan of Fairfield, OH and Barbara Haines of Trenton, OH; five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Oval Bolt.
Jeannette was a member of Pierceville United Methodist Church of Milan. She had been a teachers aid with Jac-Cen-Del School system from 1965-1974 and had also done volunteer work at Jac-Cen-Del Elementary School. She was a past member of the Ladies auxillary of Napoleon, and VFW Keene-Henneke Post #9987.
Funeral services were held all in one day, Monday, February 27, at Pierceville United Methodist Church of Milan. Memorials may be given to the Pierceville United Methodist Church, Napoleon VFW, Gideons or Ripley County Cancer Fund. Burial was in the Greendale Cemetery of Osgood. Neal's Funeral Home, Osgood, was entrusted with arrangements.

Wayne C. Combs

Wayne C. Combs, 59, of Milan, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at the South Central Indiana Hospice at Columbus. Wayne was born September 8, 1952 in Milan, the son of Carley and Helen (Pilz) Combs. He married Debra (Volz) Combs October 5, 1974 and she survives.
Wayne served in the Army National Guard and was a heavy equipment operator for Local #181 at Louisville. He was a member and past Master of Milan F&AM Masonic Lodge #31 at Milan, a member of the Milan American Legion Post #235, past member of the Eagle Scouts, was a Milan youth football and baseball coach and legion baseball coach, a member of the National Rifle Association and the Muzzle Loaders Rifle Association, liking to wear clothing of that era.
He had a passion for history and genealogy, and liked hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Debby Combs; sons, Jason Combs (Tonia Bevis) of Moores Hill, Jeremy Combs of Milan, and Josh (Randa) Combs of Rexville; mother, Helen Combs of Milan; sister, Jeannette Vanosdol of Versailles; grandchildren, Harley Marie, Hunter, Colt, Chance, Mason, Ellie Combs, Derrick Nelson, Tony and Greg Bevis; and a host of friends and relatives.
Services for Wayne will be Wednesday February 29, at 7 p.m. at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan with Rev. Harris Long officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. with Masonic services held at 6:45 Wednesday. Military rites will follow services performed by Milan American Legion Post #235. Memorials may be made to the family through Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan.

Robert L. Crandell

Robert L. Crandell, 85, of Moorefield, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 1, at 10 a.m. at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay, with burial following in the Vevay Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Long Run Baptist Church or the Moorefield Community Fire Department, contribution cards are available at the funeral home. Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, Vevay, is in charge of arrangements.

Sharon Ann Gordon

Sharon Ann Gordon, 64, of Dillsboro, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Western Hills Hospice in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born February 27, 1947 in Cincinnati, the daughter of Russell Beard and Margaret (Baker) Beard, and grew up in Aurora.
Sharon graduated in 1965 from Aurora High School and was employed for several years at United Telephone Company, first as a telephone operator, and later, as a secretary.
On November 23, 1983 she was united in marriage to Tommy F. Gordon, who survives. She lived in Dillsboro for several years, and then she and Tommy purchased a farm west of Dillsboro, where she absolutely loved living. Animals were her passion; she loved dogs and horses and would pick up a stray dog any time. She loved her flowers, and planted many roses at her home. Sharon was an avid deer hunter and she got her nine-point buck this year.
Survivors include her mother, Margaret Beard; special aunt, Dolores Scranton of Dillsboro; husband, Tommy Gordon; two sons, Joseph Michael Peak of Versailles and Perry James Peak of Manchester; step children, Thomas Lee Gordon of Dillsboro, Cindy Hubbard of Colorado and Tina Zink of Lawrenceburg; brother, Rick (Janet) Beard of Dillsboro; ten grandchildren, Dylan, Colton, Isabel, Taylor, Jacob, Ashley, Josh, Cody, Corey and Thomas; and her very special close friend, Judy Clark.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 28 at 11 a.m. at Filter-DeVries Funeral Home in Dillsboro, with Pastor Sherman Hughes officiating. She will be laid to rest at Green Cemetery, across the street from her home. Because of SharonÕs love for animals, the family asks that you give memorials to the Ripley County Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Robert Norman Jobst

Robert Norman Jobst, 84, of Batesville, passed away Friday, February 24, 2012. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 28 from 4-7 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ (Huntersville) in Batesville. Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or American Diabetes in care of the funeral home. James Richard "Jim" Lewis

James Richard "Jim" Lewis, 71, of Vevay, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2012. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 28 from 5-8 p.m. at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Masonic services will be held at 7:30 p.m. by the Florence Masonic Lodge No. 27 F&AM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial in the Vevay Cemetery. Herbert Ruggles

Herbert Ruggles, 91, of Osgood, formerly of Versailles, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. He was born at Pierceville on September 20, 1920, the son of Chris and Ola Manley Ruggles. He was married to Ann Fryer on August 26, 1944 and she preceded him in death on September 21, 2005.
Survivors include two sons, Virgil (Carol) Ruggles of Osgood and Donald (Carol) Ruggles of Lincoln City; two daughters, Kathy Ruggles of Avon and Janie (Willie) Grigsby of Versailles; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; two brothers, Earl (Laverne) Ruggles and Ralph (Ruth Ann) Ruggles, both of Milan. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers Leroy and Newell Ruggles; and sister Edith Eaglin.
Mr. Ruggles was a former employee of Marble Hill and was also a self-employed carpenter. He was a 40-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Herbert was also a member of the Cedar Creek Community Church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 29, at 1 p.m. at the Cedar Creek Community Church with Rev. Garland Rudd officiating. Burial will be in the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Cliff Hill Cemetery or the Cedar Creek Church in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home, Versailles.
