Kevin Hall, 39, of Versailles, has been charged with four counts
of Child Molesting, all Class A Felonies. He has also been charged
with Incest, which is a Class B Felony.
Hall was arrested November 22 and taken to the Ripley County
Jail where he is still incarcerated according to jail personnel
on Wednesday of this week.
According to information from the Affidavit for Probable Cause
to arrest Hall, he committed these alleged crimes over a period
of three years.
Information from an interview with Hall revealed he had performed
a variety of sexual acts on the victim. These acts sometimes
involved another adult female, Lindsey Mayberry, age 22, who
has not been charged at this time.
Both Hall and Mayberry told police they did engage in sexual
acts with the victim as a trio two times. They both agreed the
crimes took place sometimes at a vacant apartment, and also
at a camper located somewhere in Ripley County.
The victim was interviewed at the Region 15 Child Advocacy Center
in Dillsboro on November 16, the day the crimes were reported
to the Indiana State Police. The victim, who is under the age
of 14, told about the horrific experiences in detail, naming
both Kevin Hall and Lindsey Mayberry as her assailants. The
child disclosed she was only eight-years-old when the sex acts
began. She also told that the crimes took place at various places,
her home, another apartment, and a camper.
The interview with Hall was videotaped and he was advised of
his rights, to which he signed a waiver. Mayberry was audio
recorded as she disclosed information.
Detective Vance Patton is handling the investigation.
If convicted, Hall could spend a lot of time behind bars for
the four Class A Felonies alone.
