David
E. Ison, 46 of Glenwood, has now been charged with the murders
of five Franklin County residents: Angela A. Napier, Jacob L.
Napier, Roy D. Napier, Melissa Napier and Henry X. Smith. He
was formally charged with the five murders in Franklin County
Circuit Court on Friday, October 7. He was a person of interest
almost from the beginning of the investigation in the murders
when police responded to a call to find that five people had
been shot on Sunday, September 25.
Ison is still incarcerated in the Ripley County Jail on charges
of Attempted Robbery as of Monday, October 10 according to Ripley
County Sheriff Tom Grills.
Ison, and an alleged accomplice, Amanda A. Napier, 34, also
of Glenwood, are accused of attempted robbery at the G.A. Triplett
and Son Pharmacy at Osgood on May 9. She is being held at the
jail in Decatur County and will be arraigned on Wednesday, October
12 in Ripley County Circuit Court.
Isons bond in Ripley County is $5 million dollars.
Indiana State Police detectives say that through their investigation
of Ison they presented evidence to the Franklin County prosecutor
that resulted in the charges of murder being brought against
Ison.
