The
Taste of Home Cooking School is coming to Versailles on November
8 and you wont want to miss it!
This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to enjoy the night
out and take home much more than the live interactive learning
experience with culinary specialist, Dana Elliott as she demonstrates
new recipes that can easily be made in your own home.
Bring your money or check books, and shop at one or all of the
many booths that will offer quality items in time for Christmas,
purchase a sandwich and dessert at the Dabney Baptist Church
booth, while visiting with friends and family.
The evening offers each attendee the chance to win fabulous
prizes provided by the many local sponsors as well as ones from
national brand sponsors.
And, if thats not enough, everyone will walk away from
the event with not only wonderful cooking tips, but a free goodie
bag filled with coupons, two Taste of Home magazines and an
assortment of products provided by our sponsors.
Due to the huge success of the 2009 cooking schools Cooks
Who Care campaign, the decision was made to again ask those
attending the event to bring non-perishable food items to share
with those less fortunate.
The food items will go to local food pantries. Were
really excited to again participate in the Cooks Who Care program,
noted Linda Chandler, publisher of the Osgood Journal and The
Versailles Republican newspapers.
Culinary specialist Elliott was so impressed with the amount
of items received at the 2009 event. It shows what a caring
and generous community we have here, Chandler noted.
Tickets for the cooking school will be available to purchase
on Monday, October 10 at 8 a.m. at the Ripley Publishing Co.s
office at 115 S. Washington Street in Versailles. They are still
just $10 for each person and there is no limit on the amount
of tickets one can purchase. All major credit cards will be
accepted.
Also for those who would like them mailed right to their home,
just call or send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Ripley
Publishing Co. PO Box 158, Versailles, IN 47042, 812-689-6364.
The cooking school is made possible by the generosity of the
following local major sponsors who have partnered with Ripley
Publishing Co. to bring the popular event again to Versailles.
The Versailles Supermarket, Southeastern Indiana REMC, Decatur
County Hospital, Friendship State Bank, Tom Tepe AutoCenter,
Four Seasons Heating and Cooling, plus many other sponsors make
the event possible.
