Tornados finish summer baseball season tournament action

Another great journey was recorded by the Midwest Tornados as they met competition in the 2011 World Series. The 12 & Under, 13 & Under and 14 & Under teams traveled to St. Louis, Missouri for eight days, where they contested in many ball games, fighting through the awful heat, yet pulling off top 10 finishes by all three teams!

The 12 & under team finished with a 6th place trophy, the 13U team worked to a 5th place finish and the 14 & U team rallied to claim a 3rd place finish.

Kids on the teams are from all around the area: West Harrison, Batesville, Dillsboro, Lawrenceburg, Milan, Sunman, Switzerland County, etc.

It was a great season for the Tornados, and with a little revamping, hopefully an even better 2012 season is in the wings ahead.

The Tornados is a growing select traveling ball club that was established in 2009. Tryouts for open positions with 9U, 11U, 13U and 14U were held the weekend of July 30th and 31st with further tryouts set for the weekend of August 13th and 14th.
