Crash claims life of Milan senior

A single vehicle crash on Prattsburg Road north of Milan, has claimed the life of Ryan Jacob Doyle, 18 of Milan.

According to information from the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office, Doyle was traveling west on CR 550 North when he lost control of the 2001 Ford Mustang he was driving. He had just crested a small hill when the vehicle began to slide out of control. It then left the roadway on the north side, went into a large ditch, hit several small trees and overturned. Doyle was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by Ripley County Paramedics.

Doyle was a senior at Milan High School and loved fishing and hunting. He also had a passion for cars.

He is survived by his mother, Kellie Doyle of Milan, his father, Jesse Doyle of Moores Hill, sisters: Erin, Tricia, Jessica, and Allison Doyle, all of Milan. His maternal grandparents also survive, Barb Murphy of Milan, Mark Wood of Loveland, Ohio; Mike Strunk of Conrow, Texas, and Philip Murphy of Blanchester, Ohio; maternal great grandfather, Fred Wood of Amelia, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Hazel King of Blanchester, Ohio; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 23 at 10 a.m. at the Milan Church of Christ with Pastor Shawn McMullen officiating. Burial will follow in the New Craven Cemetery, Milan.

Visitation will be Friday, July 22 from 6-9 p.m. at the Milan Church of Christ.
