Georges Pharmacy is now open in Versailles at the corner
of South and Main streets in the Neal-Weir Plaza, where Gold Star
Chili is also located.
The family owned and operated pharmacy is service oriented according
to owner George Gillman, who along with his sons, Blake and Trent,
offer pharmaceutical needs in three towns: Brookville, Sunman,
and now Versailles.
We pride ourselves on being service oriented, Gillman
told The Versailles Republican on opening day last Wednesday,
June 29.
Gillman noted they offer a variety of services including free
delivery of prescriptions, honor the $4.00 list of prescriptions,
and will match any competitors price.
They offer medical equipment with free delivery and set-up in
your home. They also have a service that will modify a home or
vehicle for someone with medical needs. This could include a handicap
ramp or whatever it takes to allow someone to continue to drive.
We want to offer a better quality of life for those who
want to stay home as long as possible, Gillman noted.
Employees at Georges Pharmacy have knowledge of agencies
that are able to help those with medical needs.
They offer a variety of gifts, balloons, along with important
over the counter medical supplies. They also have their liquor
license and offer a variety of beer and liquor. They have a drive-thru
for customers convenience.
The Versailles store is staffed with Stephanie Back, managing
pharmacist; Kristina Pope from Osgood, who is a pharmacy technician;
and Teresa Merkel, who is the front-end manager and an RN. She
is available to give various shots.
Hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday,
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. They are closed on Sunday. You can find out more
about the new pharmacy by calling 812-689-0200 or online at: www.georgespharmacy.com.
Georges Pharmacy will have a presence at the Ripley County
4-H Fair. They invite you to come to their booth so they can meet
the people they want to serve.
The Gillmans have been in the pharmacy business since 1985
and are excited about their newest opening in Versailles. We
look forward to serving the community here, Gillman concluded.
