Annual ORVC spring sports banquet held at The Pines Restaurant

Assisted by Shawe Coach Gary VanWye, Madison Shawe Memorial Hilltopper Athletic Director Travis Calvert as host welcomed athletes, coaches, school staff and invited guests to the 2010-11 Spring Sports Awards Banquet, held at The Pines Restaurant in Madison, on Wednesday, June 8.
The packed house of 100+ guests were led in prayer before the buffet style meal by Calvert, then dismissed for the meal.
Milan Lady Indians & Rising Sun Lady Shiners end their 2011 ORVC softball season as co-champs
A call to order, following the meal, found the All Conference Girls Softball Team and "Co-Coaches of the Year" Yatzie Roysden of the Milan Lady Indians and David Brown of the Rising Sun Lady Shiners being called to the podium to receive their individual certificates, ribbons, medals, team trophies and plaques.

The All Conference Boys Baseball Team and "Coach of the Year" Kevin Wirsch of the Rising Sun Shiners were called to the podium to receive their individual certificates, ribbons, medals, team trophies and plaques.

season as ORVC Champs and Regional contenders
Top team honors in the 2011 ORVC sport of boys golf was once again captured by a solid Shawe Hilltopper team, led by "Golf Coach of the Year" Matt Hall. Jac-Cen-Del Eagle senior Joe Abplanalp was named as the Boys Golf Mental Attitude Winner as the banquet unfolded.
