A black 1986 Honda TRX240R with a rebel flag seat was found in a ditch and the owner may be wondering where it is.

According to information from Sgt. Noel Houze of the Indiana State Police Versailles District, the ATV has not been reported stolen, but someone may have lost it off a trailer while traveling on I-74 near the 163 mile marker in Dearborn County on October 23.

ISP Trooper Jeremy Franklin was dispatched to the area where he found the All Terrain Vehicle in the ditch on the side of the roadway. It was noted that the ATV had damage to it that was consistent with the unit skidding for a short time, possibly coming loose from a trailer.

After checking with local residences in the area where the vehicle was found, no one knew of anyone who might own an ATV of that description. Police think it might have been someone just passing through the area when the ATV broke loose without the knowledge of the driver.

Anyone with information about the ATV or the owner should contact Trooper Franklin at the Indiana State Police Post in Versailles at 812-689-5000 or 800-566-6704 (in Indiana only).
