Donna Louise Todd
Donna Louise Todd, 59, of Versailles, passed away Saturday,
March 27, 2010. Visitation and funeral services will be held
Wednesday, March 31 at Neals Funeral Home in Osgood with
calling starting at 10 a.m. and funeral at 11 a.m. Cremation
will follow. Memorials may be given to the Reward Riding Program
in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled

Rachel Minnie Althoff
Rachel Minnie (Rimstidt) Althoff, 99 of near Fairview, died
Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Vevay, Indiana. She was born in
Ripley County on August 26, 1910 the daughter of John and Margareth
(Detmer) Rimstidt. She married Dallas Ward Althoff on October
3, 1927 in Vevay and he preceded her in death on October 28,
1995.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Dowdy of Vevay, two
sons, Harry Althoff and wife Ethel of Bear Branch and Carl Althoff
and wife Sandy of Fairview; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren;
one great grandson and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Althoff was once employed as a clerk for the Bear Branch
Store and was also employed with the telephone exchange at Bear
Branch for several years. She was a homemaker. She became a
faithful member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church in 1943,
where she served as clerk.
Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, March 23 at the Haskell
& Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay from 5:00 8:00 p.m.
and from noon until the time of services on Wednesday. Funeral
services will be held on Wednesday, March 24 at 1:00 p.m. at
the Olive Branch Baptist Church at Bear Branch with Rev. Patrick
Lanman officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Branch Cemetery
in Bear Branch.
Memorials may be made to the Olive Branch Baptist Church through
the funeral home.
Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay is in charge of

Gracie Evelyn Lee, 85, of Batesville, died Saturday, March 20,
2010 at her home. Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, March
23 from 5-8 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville. Funeral
services will be held Wednesday, March 24 at 11 a.m. with calling
1 hour prior at the Church on the Rock Assembly of God in Batesville
with Pastor Roger Dean officiating. Burial will be in the Batesville
United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Henry E. Farrell, 53, of Holton, passed away Wednesday, March

Glada L. (Whitlach) Warn
Glada L. (Whitlach) Warn, 95, of Milan, passed away Thursday,
March 11, 2010 at Woodmont Health Campus in Boonville. She was
born October 12, 1914 in Milan, the daughter of Dr. Alcedo and
Georgia (Tucker) Whitlach. She married Dr. William J. Warn on
June 16, 1936, and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1986.
Survivors
include son, John M. (Bette) Warn of Morrison, CO; daughters,
Faith Ellen (Jim) Clay of Wyandotte, OK, and Bunny (Gordon)
Snider of Boonville; ten grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren;
and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death
by her husband and one granddaughter.
Mrs. Warn was a member of the Milan Methodist Church and Methodist
Women group, New Harmony Club, former Trustee of Cravens Cemetery,
International Yours, Eastern Star, and Phi Mu National Sorority.
She graduated from Milan High School in 1932 and from Indiana
University in 1936 and had done post graduate work at the University
of Louisville. She worked at the Milan School as an English
and Social Studies teacher.
Funeral services are being held today, Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at
Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan with Pastor Stormy Scherer-Berry
officiating. Burial will be at the Cravens Cemetery in Milan.
Memorials may be given to the Milan Methodist Church or the
Milan Library or Cravens Cemetery. Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home
in Milan is in charge of arrangements.

M. Borders Wright
Carolyn Maxine Borders Wright, 71, of Greensburg, passed away
Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
She was born October 16, 1938 in Versailles, the daughter of
Emory Lowell and LeAnna Sexton Borders.
Survivors include sons: Donald E. Ballard of Greensburg, Delbert
L. Ballard of St. Paul, Michael D. Ballard of Shelbyville, Bryan
C. Ballard of St. Paul; step son: John A. Wright of Madison;
step daughter: Tenzie A. Kociban of TN; sisters: Sharon Eaton
of Napoleon, Betty Mace of MT; seven grandchildren; three step
grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded
in death by two brothers: George and Jim Borders.
Mrs. Wright was a past nursing home employee of Muscatatuck
State Hospital. She had attended the Versailles Wesleyan Church
and Shelbyville Moose Lodge.
Visitation service is being held today, Tuesday, from 10 a.m.
to 12 noon, at Neals Funeral Home in Osgood, with funeral
services immediately following. Burial will be in the St. Peters
Cemetery "Finks" near Osgood. Memorials may be given
to her great grandsons in care of the funeral home. Arrangements
are being handled by Neals Funeral Home in Osgood.

Venora M. Holman, 91, of Peppertown, passed away Thursday, March
4, 2010 at her home. Funeral services are being held today,
Tuesday, at 11 a.m. at Metamora Church of Christ with burial
in the Shelby Cemetery, south of Versailles. Memorials may be
given to the Margaret Mary Community Hospital Hospice or Metamora
Church of Christ in care of Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville.

Grace M. Stutler, 82, of Versailles, passed away Sunday, March
7, 2010. Arrangements are pending at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral

Derek Michael Benham
Derek Michael Benham, 29, of San Diego, CA, passed away Sunday,
February 28 in California. He was born June 29, 1980 in Milford,
Delaware, the son of Stephen Michael and Mary Elizabeth Benham.
Survivors include his parents Stephen and Mary of Camden, DE;
maternal grandfather, Howard Hurd of Louisiana; local survivors
include aunts: Teresa Johns and family of Milan and Marcia Wetzler
and family of Moores Hill. He was preceded in death by his paternal
grandparents, Robert M. and Joan Benham and his maternal grandmother,
Mary F. Coppage.
Derek was employed by the Fqubed Company as a bio-med technician.
Funeral services were held in Delaware. A graveside service
will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 11 at Cravens Cemetery
in Milan. Memorials may be given to the National Marfan Foundation,
22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050. Laws-Carr-Moore

Thelma
G. Clore
Thelma G. Clore, 85, of Dillsboro, passed away Sunday, February
28, 2010 at Dearborn County Hospital. She was born in Switzerland
County on November 8, 1924 to Dale Seymour and Golda Jackson
Seymour. She married Harry R. Clore in 1949 and he preceded
her in death in 1996.
Survivors include daughter, Sharon (Gary) Eaglin of Lawrenceburg;
one granddaughter, Amy (Keith) Ertel of Batesville; three great
grandsons, Jordan, Mitchell and Conner; sister, Evelyn Elder
of Dillsboro. She was also preceded in death by her son, Johnny
Dale; one grandson, Brent Alan Dubay in 1995; and brother, Kenneth
Seymour in 1996.
Mrs. Clore graduated high school in 1949. She was a member of
Hopewell Presbyterian Church in Dillsboro.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 4, at 11 a.m.
at Filter-DeVries Funeral Home in Dillsboro with Pastor Tom
Fehrman officiating. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery
in Dillsboro. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday
from 5-8 p.m. Memorials may be given to Oakdale Cemetery Trust.

Howard C. Jenner
Howard C. Jenner, 90, of Sunman, passed away Saturday, February
27, 2010. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 3 at
10 a.m. at the Cook Funeral Home in Sunman with burial in St.
John Cemetery in Penntown. Visitation is being held today, Tuesday,
from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to
the Sunman Life Squad or to the American Diabetes Association.

Junior "Red" Landwehr
Junior "Red" Landwehr, 78, of Versailles, passed away
Sunday evening, February 28, 2010 in the comfort of his home
with his wife Dorene at his side. They were married on May 28,
1952. He was born May 15, 1931 in Ripley County, the only son
of Major and Rena Landwehr.
Survivors include his wife and four children, Diana (Landwehr)
Johnson and her husband Gary of Elrod and their two children
Micah and Jenna of Baltimore, Maryland; Gary and Dedra Landwehr
of Versailles and their children Andy and wife Martha of Fort
Hood, TX, Eric and his fiancee Ashley Redwine with plans to
reside in Benham, and Tyler also of Versailles; Greg and Shirley
Landwehr and their two children Dawn (Landwehr) Heffelmire and
her children Rory and Reese of Versailles, Amber (Landwehr)
Seppala and her husband Zack and their two children Mira and
Ada of Fairfield, OH; Gil and Tracy Landwehr and their two children
Heath and Katie also residing in Versailles.
Red served in the US Army in the Korean War and later retired
from the Southeastern Indiana REMC in Osgood after 28 years.
He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Olean where
in his younger years he served on the church council and played
on the church softball team. Since retirement his time has been
well spent by bowling, fishing, and occasionally making maple
syrup and caring for the family farm located on Cave Hill Road.
Funeral services will be held Wed., March 3 at 1 p.m. at the
Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor James
Culver of St. Pauls Lutheran Church officiating. Family
services will follow at the Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles
with military graveside rites by the Versailles American Legion.
Visitation will be on Wed, from 10 a.m. until time of services.
Memorials may be given to the Versailles American Legion or
the Fishes and Loaves Food Pantry in Osgood in care of the funeral
home.
