Police
ask for any information regarding sexual assault report

According
to information from Sheriff Tom Grills his office is investigating
a report of a sexual assault involving a 19-year-old female.
The alleged assault happened Saturday night, January 9 near the
Holton area, while the female was traveling along Hopewell Road.
The female reported she had stopped to assist a stranded motorist
when she was assaulted by a white male. He was operating a small,
older black pickup truck.
The assault is currently under investigation by the Ripley County
Sheriff’s Office, who is requesting anyone with information
regarding the incident contact Detective/Sgt. Corky Houseworth or
