Mary E. Kelly
Mary E. Kelly, 91, of Versailles, formerly of Elrod, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at the Jennings Health Care Center in North Vernon. She was born at Allensville in Switzerland County on September 8, 1913, the daughter of Val Fred Myers and Ollie Fancher Myers. She was married to Myron Kelly on March 28, 1942 and he preceded her in death on September 4, 1997.
Survivors include one son, Robert Kelly and wife Glenda of Scipio; one grandson, Brian Kelly of Scipio; one sister, Pauline Richards of Vevay. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, brother George Wm. Myers; sisters, Elma Voris, Mildred Etherton, and Ruth Koons.
Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Versailles Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Milan Furniture Factory and US Shoe.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, at 11 a.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Mark Walker officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 27 from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Dillsboro.

Sr. Bertha Wolfer, OSF
Sr. Bertha Wolfer, OSF, 84, of Oldenburg, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at the Sisters of St. Francis Convent, Oldenburg. She was born October 3, 1920 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Henry N. Wolfer and Bertha M. (Schwarber) Wolfer, both deceased.
Survivors include two brothers, Rev. Paul Wolfer and Rev. Robert Wolfer both of Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Rev. M. Vianney and Rev. Joseph Wolfer and six sisters, Sr. Harriet Wolfer, Hilda Euler, Rose Wolfer, Margaret Wolfer, Patricia Wolfer and Gert Wolfer.
Sr. Wolfer was a retired teacher, having taught at many Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Missouri schools. She entered the convent on September 8, 1938 and made her final vows on August 12, 1944. She retired to the motherhouse in 1996.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 28, 1-3 p.m. at the Srs. of St. Francis Motherhouse Chapel, Oldenburg with Reverends Paul and Robert Wolfer officiating. Burial will be in the St. Francis Cemetery in Oldenburg.
Memorials may be made to the Sisters of St. Francis, Oldenburg. Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville was in charge of arrrangements.

Michael Richard Thompson
Michael Richard Thompson, 16, of Milan, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at Children's Hospital, Cincinnati. He was born February 5, 1989 in Lawrenceburg, the son of Johnny Dean Gamble and Tracy Lee Thompson.
Survivors include his mother Tracy Ridner and husband Ricky of Milan; his father, John and wife Angi Gamble of West Harrison; one brother, Bryan Myers of Milan; two sisters, Kaela Justis of Milan, Lani Gamble of West Harrison; two nieces, Abriel and Brianna and numerous aunts, uncles and friends.
Michael was a sophomore at Milan High School, a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church and a member of the Milan High School football team.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 22, 5-8 p.m. at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan.
Private funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan with Rev. Tom Holt and Rev. Harris Long officiating. Burial will be in the New Craven Cemetery, Milan.

Everett Fredrick Cutter
Everett Fredrick Cutter, 91, of Versailles, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at the Waters of Dillsboro Manor. He was born July 5, 1914 in Friendship, the son of Fred Cutter and Agnes (Ellerman) Cutter, both deceased. He married Cuba (Christman) Cutter and she preceded him in death in 1981.
Survivors include one son, Leland "Lee" Cutter and wife Debra J. of Versailles and one grandson, Derek L. Cutter of Versailles. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, Floyd and Howard Cutter.
Mr. Cutter was a farmer and along with his son owned and operated a sawmill for 40 years.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 21, 5-8 p.m. at Bovard-Holt- Furst Funeral Home, Versailles and after 1 p.m. on Friday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Olean. Funeral services will be held Friday, 2 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Pam Theide officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul Cemetery, Olean.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church or the donor's favorite charity.

John Steven Hensley
John Steven Hensley, 31, of Salisbury, MD, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005. He was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky, the son of Steven E. and his wife Kimberly Hensley and Marilynn Biddinger and her husband Jack. Mr. Hensley married Jennifer Renae Brewer and she survives.
Other survivors include one son, Nicholas Hensley of Salisbury, MD; three sisters, Paula Yorn of Milan, Kristina Hensley of The Colony, TX, Tracy Harper of Greenwood; two brothers, Malcom Hensley of Lawrenceburg, Robert Wilkerson of Columbus, grandparents, Maxine and Junior Wilson of Osgood; mother and father-in-law, Pam and Glen Collins of Milan; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by father-in-law, Douglas Brewer.
Mr. Hensley was a communication major at Salisbury University and currently worked as a DJ.
A memorial service was held Monday, July 11, at 11 a.m. at the Holloway Funeral Home, Maryland.

Louis H. Jobst
Louis H. Jobst, 91, of Batesville, died Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at Margaret Mary Community Hospital, Batesville. He was born April 17, 1914 in Ripley County, the son of Fred and Margaret (Einhaus) Jobst, both deceased. He married Ruth Siebert of Napoleon on September 16, 1937 and she preceded him in death on March 15, 1990.
Survivors include one daughter, Pixie (Jack) Smith of Batesville; one granddaughter, Dana Smith and one brother, Robert Jobst of Batesville. Three brothers, Irvin, John and Carl Jobst and three sisters, Leona Brebberman, Florence Tekulve and Esther Schwendenmann preceded him in death.
Mr. Jobst was retired from Steinkamp and Company as a carpenter. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crossroads.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 17, 7 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crossroads with Pastor Robin Owen officiating. He has donated his body to IU Hospital, therefore there is no burial.
Memorials may be made to Hospitality Hall or to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Crossroads.

Lowell E. John
Lowell E. John, 72, of Milan, died Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at St. Frances Hospital, Beech Grove. He was born April 2, 1933 in Logansport, the son of Melvin and Urshall (Nethercutt) John. He married Martha Rose (Geiss) John on April 7, 1956 and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Greg John of Mooresville, Kevin John of Milan; three daughters, Jill Taul of Lafayette, Teresa Heppner of Milan, Amy Smith of Milan; one brother, Jack John of Milan; one sister, Pauline Tucker of Rochester; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mr. John was a retired employee of the Ripley County Beverage Company in Batesville.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 15, 11-1 p.m. slow time at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. slow time on Friday, at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Holt officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Milan.
Memorials may be made to the Milan Volunteer Fire Department.

Donald William Henry
Donald William Henry, 58, of Milan, died Monday, July 4, 2005 in University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He was born October 15, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of late Robert Lee Henry and Billy Henry.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Cole Henry; one daughter, Jamie and husband Danny Craig; mother, Billy Henry; one brother, Bobby and wife Janet Henry of Aurora; four sisters, Vicki and husband Dennis Goodwin of Lawrenceburg, Cindy Houze of Lawrenceburg, Marjean Carlson and husband Jim, Lisa Lansing and three grandchildren.
Mr. Henry was a member of the Milan First Baptist Church. He worked as a CEO Senior for AEP.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 8, 12-2 p.m., slow time, at the First Baptist Church of Milan. A celebration of life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Milan on Friday, July 8, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Harris Long officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Milan Fire Department of the Milan Life Squad.

Earl E. Ballard
Earl E. Ballard, 71, of Versailles, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2005 at the Christ Hospital, Cincinnati. He was born at Madison on March 11, 1934, the son of Lawrence and Georgia Amos Ballard. He was married to Helen Holaway and she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Eddie Ballard of Simpsonville, SC., Roberts Ballard of Versailles; one daughter, Kathy Ballard of Versailles; two brothers, Paul Ballard of Florence and Thomas Ballard of Rising Sun; half brother, Louis Coy of Cincinnati and half sister, Lois Konkle of Somerset, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Michael.
Mr. Ballard was a retired equipment operator for Cincinnati Building Supply.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 5, 2 p.m. at Cliff Hill Cemetery, Versailles.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Jeffrey A. Roseberry
Jeffrey A. "Rosebud" Roseberry, 47, of Batesville, died Friday, July 1, 2005 at his residence. He was born September 14, 1957 in Greensburg, the son of Wendall Roseberry and Mary Veerkamp Roseberry. He married Wilma Thornsberry Roseberry on December 31, 1985 and she survives in Batesville.
Other survivors include two daughters, Nichole Drockelman of Batesville, Nancy Thornsberry of West Lafayette; five sons, Michael Roseberry of West Lafayette, Nicholas Ripperger of West Lafayette, Tracey Fox of Lebanon, TN., Jeffrey Gridler of Greensburg, David Cain of Greensburg; mother, Mary Roseberry of Greensburg; two sisters, Kimberly Hubbard of Greensburg, Lisa Roseberry of Greensburg; one brother, Pat Roseberry of Greensburg; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Mr. Roseberry was a long haul truck driver for Batesville Casket Company. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of ABATE.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 6, 1 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home, Batesville. Burial was in the St. Louis Cemetery.

Laura Elizabeth Mang
Laura Elizabeth Mang, 92, of Batesville, died Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Hospitality Hall in Batesville. She was born January 18, 1913 in Sunman, the daughter of Edward and Emma (Heuer) Zimmerman. She married Elmer Mang on June 26, 1935 and he preceded her in death on September 25, 1981.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann Klingworth of Oldenburg; two sons, Paul Mang, Sr., of Greensburg, Leroy Mang of Batesville; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, Eileen Zimmerman of Lawrenceburg, Evelyn Beneker of Brookville; three brothers, Edward Zimmerman of Cincinnati, Ralph Zimmerman of Batesville, and Rev. Earl Zimmerman of Rothschild, WS. Two sisters, Anna Sweeney and Mabel Beneker, and one brother, Carl Zimmerman preceded her in death.
Mrs. Mang was a homemaker and a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Batesville.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 6, 2 p.m. at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville with Rev. Juanita Connerley officiating. Burial was in the St. John Church Cemetery, Batesville.

Marilyn Joyce Rumsey
Marilyn Joyce Rumsey, 71, of Osgood, died Thursday, July 1, 2005, at Margaret Mary Community Hospital, Batesville. She was born August 7, 1933 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Fern Evelyn Webb and Samuel Glen Trick. She married Ernest Rumsey on September 15, 1962 and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1993.
Survivors include her mother, Fern Evelyn Trick of Youngstown, AZ.; one son, Paul Rumsey of Holton; one daughter, Heidi Thompson of Milan; four grandchildren and one brother, Jack Trick of El Mirage, AZ. Her husband and father preceded her in death.
Mrs. Rumsey was a registered nurse and a homemaker. She was a member of the Lawrenceburg Church of God.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 5, 11 a.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Sunman. Burial was in the St. Paul Cemetery, Sunman.

Sr. Margaret Mary Stuhrenberg, OSF
Sr. Margaret Mary Stuhrenberg, 78, formerly St. Paul Anthony Stuhrenberg, of Oldenburg, died Thursday, June 30, 2005 at the Srs. of St. Francis Convent in Oldenburg. She was born September 8, 1926 in Duncombe, IA, the daughter of Henry Stuhrenberg and Mary Naderman Stuhrenberg, both deceased.
Survivors include four sisters, Sr. Bernetta Stuhrenberg, OSF of Oldenburg, Barbara Sandhage of Westport, Rosemary Maschino of North Vernon, and Mary Ann Wenning of Greensburg. Sr. M. Henreitte, OSCO and one brother, Albert Stuhrenberg preceded her in death.
Sr. Stuhrenberg was a teacher having taught at schools in Ohio, Illinois and Indiana. She entered the convent on September 8, 1948 and made her final vows on August 12, 1954. She retired to the Motherhouse in 1989.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 5, at the Srs. of St. Francis Motherhouse Chapel, Oldenburg, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Carl Hawver officiating. Burial was in the St. Francis Cemetery.

Sylvia L. Asher
Sylvia L. Asher, 60, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, July 4, 2005 at the Norton Southwest Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Cincinnati on July 20, 1944, the daughter of Roy and Elizabeth Begley Adkins.
She is survived by her fiancÈe, Johnny Lomax; four daughters, Betsy Asher Faulkner and husband Larry (Shorty) of Rexville, Joyce Box and fiancÈe James Seal of New Washington, Marsha Davis and husband Norman of Chelsa and Robyn Adcock and husband Ken of Taylorsville, Kentucky; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Carol Myers of Milan and Betty Albin of Colorado Springs; five brothers, Houston Walker of Hebron, Kentucky, Chester Walker of Rexville, John Walker of Oklahoma City, Frank Walker of Versailles and Donald Bowman of Lake Cumberland, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Elvira Kilgore and her brother, Tim Hagemann.
Ms. Asher was a grill cook at Mike Linning's Restaurant in Louisville and was a member of the Shelby Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8 at 10 a.m. at the Shelby Christian Church with Brother Randy Thieman officiating. Burial will be in the Shelby Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 7 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home, Versailles.
