    Tire groover

A 250W heavy handled soldering iron with a brass pre-warmer tip, and a blue spring steel hoop knife. Used for cutting new edges into tires. I got this one from Speedway for $49.95 +shipping. Trials tires are so soft that I don't think you really need to plug it in! I would think you could make one. Even when you do plug it in, it does not make very much smoke. You can't make tiny cuts, so you can only 'sharpen' a tire about 3 times before it is worn out.

    Tubeless Motorcycle Bead Breaker

I've got the PERFECT tool for breaking the bead on a tubeless motorcycle tire. It is a giant tire pincher! And it works GREAT! Just squeeze, and poompf, the bead is broken, then flip the tool over, and do the other side. One side pushes on the tire, the other side has an anti slip notch that fits against the rim on the other side. The tool is portable. For bonus points, the handles could be made removable with a slip joint and a pin.

I used a 4" medium wall steel pipe 1" long, cut it in half, welded reinforcement web on the back, then welded 1" square tubing as handles. The handles are 26" from the pivot point. I would not make them any smaller.
