From the School of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of St. Andrews in England.
    Math and Science Gateway, Cornell University's guide to resources in mathematics and science for educators and students.
    Math Forum is Swarthmore College's extensive clearinghouse of high-quality mathematics and math education resources, aimed at teachers, researchers, parents, and students.
    Measurement, Time, and Money Information-entertainment.com's Science and Math Page where you can find conversions for measurement units in the metric, Imperial, and English systems and date calculations. You can convert units of volume, length, area, time, and temperature. The number of days between two dates can be found and what day a a holiday was on in years past.

    Earth and Space Science

    Chemical Scorecard contains information about chemicals in the environment. Enter your zip code to find companies in your community and a list of the chemicals used there.
    CNN's Space News, where you can stay up-to-date with late-breaking space news from CNN.
    Geology and the Environment is an excellent guide to geology information. Topics include plate tectonics, volcanoes, landslides, water, energy, earthquakes, weather, soil, and minerals.
    The Hale-Bopp Comet Page from NASA, offers everything you want to know about the Hale-Bopp comet, written for the non-astronomer.
    Hubble Space Telescope, an educational NASA project, live from the Hubble Space Telescope.
    Living Planet Report offers insight into the state of the world's resources, from the World Wildlife Fund.
    Mars explores the possibility of life on Mars, from the Federation of American Scientists.
    NASA Space Science Data Center provides access to a wide variety of astrophysics, space physics, solar physics, lunar and planetary data from the NASA space flight missions, from NSSDC.
    is an overview of the history, mythology, and current scientific knowledge of each of the planets and moons in our solar system. Each page has text and images, some have sounds and movies.
    Oceanography from the Scripps Institution of Oceanology has links to oceanolgy information worldwide.
    Savage Earth is based on the PBS series about our changing earth. Has information about volcanoes, earthquakes, and tsunamis.
    Solar System brings you views of the solar system in a vivid multimedia production showing the splendor of the sun, planets, moons, and comets, asteroids, and more. From the Hawaiian Astronomical Society and electrical engineer Calvin J. Hamilton.
    Spacelink is a NASA site designed especially for teachers exploring aeronautics and space resources with their students.
    Streamnet has maps and other data on waterways in the Pacific Northwest from the Northwest Aquatic Information Network.
    Sustainable Development Timeline is a chronology, with links to other sites, which begins with Rachel Carson's environmental studies in 1962.
    Tides will give a tide prediction if you need to know the next low or high tide.
    Windows to the Universe, is a fun, graphic-intensive site and a virtual museum for space and earth science, funded by NASA. Has images and information on the Earth, the solar system, stars, space missions, and mythology. "Kid's Space" and a teacher's guide provided.

    Life Science
    Biology Teaching & Learning is Genentech's resource program for high school biology teachers. Several interactive forums enable educators to contribute and exchange information and ideas.
    Biotech attempts to enrich the public's knowledge of biology and chemistry with a goal to serve everyone from high school students to professional researchers. An Indiana University web site.
    Enivronmental Protection Agency provides a wealth of information about environmental issues. Site is designed for kids, students, teachers, concerned citizens, business and industry, researchers and scientists.
    Endangered Species Act provides access to the full-text of the "Endangered Species Act" from the Indiana University School of Law.
    Frog Dissection, an interactive frog dissection from the University of Virginia.
    Indianapolis Zoo has driving directions, hours and prices, general zoo information, and information about White River Gardens, and the ZooMobile.
    North American Amphibian Monitoring Program gives information on amphibian declines. The amphibians have lived through the last two extinction episodes, including the one which which saw the end of the dinosaurs. Now they are disappearing at an alarming rate--even in pristine and remote areas where factors like habitat destruction and human sprawl cannot be directly implicated.
    Seaworld offers an "Animal Information Database" from the Seaworld Organization.
    U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is a good site for endangered/threatened species information, as well as information on fisheries and waterfowl. Images such as photographs and artwork are available from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

    General & Physical Science
    Discover Magazine has current and archived articles from the magazine.
    ExploraNet offers science exhibits online from The San Francisco Exploratorium.
    Mad Science, supported by The Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo.. Has an online archive of questions and answers as well as links to other science sites in "Ask-A-Scientist". In "Mad Labs" have fun with science. Has information on careers in science and there are links to other science sites
    New Scientist Planet Science is an online version of the British weekly news magazine dedicated to science and technology.
    Omni is Omni magazine's website.
    Periodic Table of Elements is an excellent resource for the history and uses of each element. Supplied by the CRC Handbook of Chemistry and Physics and the American Chemical Society.
    Popular Science has articles which cover science, automobiles, consumer electronics, computers, home technology, photography, aviation and space. Has a buyers guide for automotive and electronic products. Also includes "Popular Science's 50 Top Science and Technology Sites on the Internet."
    Science for the Millennium, a multimedia "Expo" focusing chiefly on astronomy and astrophysics, advanced computation, and virtual environments. From The National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois.
    Science Magazine is an online version of Science Magazine from The American Association for the Advancement of Science.
    A Science Odyssey is a PBS guide to science and technology which compares the state of science in 1900 with today. Presents major discoveries and the people who made them.
    Table of Elements is concise little table of elements, presented by the University of Sheffield in England.
    Time can be used to set your watch to the official United States Naval Observatory clock or to calculate sunrise/sunset and moon phases.
    Why Files: Science Behind the News, from the University of Wisconsin, examines science issues behind current events i.e. up-to-date entertaining, nontechnical tutorials on many science and technology topics such as "mad cow disease" panic, nicotine addiction, and the status of electric-car technology.

    Science Projects
    CyberFair was created for and by students in grades 3 through 6, hosted by the public schools of Mankato, Minn. Students and teachers can find ideas for projects and a guide for doing experiments. A person can submit their own science project results to the web site.
    Science Club has lots of of project ideas, complete with illustrated instructions, from a simple telescope to smoke ring launchers from the non-profit group, The Science Club.
    Science Fair Project Resource Guide has links on "how to do a science fair project", samples of completed projects and ideas for creating your own science fair experiment. Presented by the Internet Public Library, this page contains both basic information about science fairs and advanced experiments.
