BigBook, an electronic yellow

You can refined searches by limiting distances from a central point.
Biography.com has short biographies
of famous people, from the A&E television network Biography series.
Dead People Server is an irreverent
database of somewhat famous people listing the date and cause of
death. Dispels myths of celebrities widely thought to be dead, but
still living.
Fax Directory All
Countries is a listing of fax directories, available by country,
but not all countries are included.
InforSpace
Toll-Free Numbers can be used to search by business name,
keyword, name of category or product.
Switchboard.com lists people,
businesses and email addresses. Type in your own name, and
switchboard will introduce you to businesses around your area, along
with maps and general information about your neighborhood.
Telephone Directories on the
Web provides linds to international yellow, white, business,
email and fax directories. Not all countries are covered, and not
all are translated into English, but this site provides many
directories not found elsewhere.

streaming video of the trading floor, check stocks, options and
derivatives and learn about S & P Depositary Receipts.
Big Charts contains a historical
quotes tool. Type in a ticker symbol and a date. You will be given
the closing price on that date and the split adjusted price for
that date (As with any financial information, consult with your
accountant or broker when using this data.)
Check Free Investment
Services. Enter the ticker symbol to check on a stock or check

and articles. Morningstar will set up a personal portfolio for a
fee but most of the information is free.
Motley Fool offers information on
stocks, retirement, handling debt, buying a house, and other issues
of personal finance--all with a dash of humor.
Mutual Fund Central is a good source for
mutual fund information. It includes links to the major mutual fund
company sites.
NASDAQ Stock Exchange. You can enter
ticker symbols to see quotes, performance information and
Reuters news about stocks and mutual funds.
New York Stock Exchange. View current
stock quotes, historical financial timelines and information about
market regulation. Click on Publications for online brochures
and activities that educate suers about the market, including
"The Exchange", a monthly newsletter.
OADNDA is a site where you can
calculate the exchange rate between 14 currencies, view the
universal currency daily talbes, and view historical tables of

Congressional
Quarterly Freesites offers nonpartisan voter information on
"Vote Watch", which provides news stories on congressional votes
and a searchable database of members' individual votes. "American
Voter" offers background information about members of the House and

Federal Election Commission provides
