standing books The Jennings County Literacy Council (JCLC) is housed at the Jennings County Public Library and is affiliated with the Jennings County United Way. The JCLC serves all of Jennings County, Indiana.

MISSION
The literacy council was formed by concerned citizens in 1984. Our mission is to increase literacy levels among the people of our community and to inspire a value of lifelong learning among all citizens.

Council meetings are held monthly on the third Wednesday from 5:30-6:30 PM at the Jennings County Public Library, North Vernon, Indiana.
