internet policy :
- Internet connection shall be provided for the purpose of enhancing and extending
the information resources and services of the library.
- If there are any violations of the library rules and accepted Network etiquette,
the user may not be allowed access to the library Internet computer workstations.
- Library internet users:
- May not display, transmit or print obscene, abusive, or sexually explicit
information.
- May not violate any local, state, or federal statutes.
- May not vandalize, damage, or disable the property of another person
or organization.
- May not access another person's materials, information, or files without
the direct permission of that person.
- May not violate copyright, or otherwise use another person's intellectual
property without his/her prior approval or proper citation.
- All users of the library Internet computers must have and/or demonstrate appropriate
computer knowledge and skills.
- Access to some Internet resources may be restricted in accordance with library's
information selection policy.
- Children or minors may have access to Internet restricted by a parent or caregiver.
- The library shall not be held responsible or liable for:
- Personal information stored on library computer systems.
- Information retrieved or personal property used to access the library
computers, networks, or online resources.
- Unauthorized financial obligations resulting from use of library resources
and accounts to access Internet.
